I’m not a Coke fan, but I love their take on red. These Emeco Navy Chairs are that color, officially, and are made out of 111 recycled plastic coke bottles each. They are exactly the shape of the iconic aluminum version designed in 1944 to be used on submarines. We specified for the clinic we designed at Richardson Affordable Apartments. (db)
A sustainable design, a bike rack set in permeable pavers, accomplished in sleek style by the wonderful landscape architect Andrea Cochran. This is on Gough Street in front of our just about to open Richardson Affordable Apartments.
Powell Street parklets open in downtown San Francisco. Designed by Landscape Architect Walter Hood they are wonderful, intelligent, and robust.
As much as you can afford. Typically we provide a common room with kitchen, about 1500 SF. Recently we have been successful including a second classroom, or kids room (so it can be left in a different state then the community room). We did one recently where we sound isolated that second room so musicians can practice in it. We also try to do an outdoor bar-b-q area, and allotment gardens. Best, db
